The World Cup is less than a week away and there is a conspicuous
lack of World Cup fever in the capitol. Only beer sponsored bunting, representing
all participating counties (must be inclusive) are flown outside pubs and white
van man is driving around without the cross of St George emblazoned on his
vehicle. Could this be the long awaited
reality check into our chances or will there be a late run of ‘stick it up your junta’, and ‘achtung, don’t mention the score’ patriotism
if we progress into the knock out stages?
