Saturday 21st April is ‘Record Store Day’. Up
and down the country record stores will be hosting live gigs, signings and a
whole host of things that make a record store a thousand times more satisfying than
buying on-line or down-loading.
Sister Ray’s in Berwick Street, Soho (possibly the
greatest record shop in London) will have Simple Minds doing a signing,
Billy Bragg playing live and various people from journalists to comedians
working behind the counter. They will also be raffling a white label vinyl
