Lewisham Micro Library

London’s smallest library has been created by Sebastian Handley in a disused telephone box on Loampit Hill, Lewisham. The library relies on the local community to “use it, love it and keep watch over it”.

It is maintained by two ‘micro librarians’ and locals are asked to take a book to read and replace it with an unwanted book.

The ventures philosophy is “It’s not what you get, it’s what you leave behind”. Hats off to Mr Handley.
