  1. Several others could be added from the back catalogue of old time, blues/prog/folk rock combo, Jethro Tull, including:

    Jeffrey goes to Leicester Square;
    Baker Street Muse [Baker Street, Blandford Street];

    plus mentioned in several others including Mother Goose [Picadilly Circus, Hampstead], A Passion Play [Fulham Road], Requiem [The Strand] and even in Anderson's solo work such as Toad in the Hole [The Strand] and Looking for Eden [Oxfird Street] plus several others.

  2. Couldn't resist adding these links for you. From Pete Townshend's solo album "White City' two links. the first is the opening to Richard Lowenstein's file made for Townshend's EelPie company, lots of film of The White City Council housing estate, a clone of many such estates in post-war London. the track is 'Give Blood' from the album.

    The second link is 'White City Fighting', if you've lived on an estate like this you'd recognise the sentiments in the lyrics.

  3. I know it refers to the cigarettes rather than the location, but Roxy Music's 'Do The Strand' deserves a mention even if only for the very tenuous link.
